The J. Furphy & Sons - Leigh Egan Cycling Team was formed in 2006 as a result of a desire to encourage and develop young cyclists from the Shepparton region.  Initially a 5 member team, all riders are from Shepparton and, as such, will train and race together.  Shepparton has a strong history of cycling excellence with a number of local riders competing on national and international stages.
